It is very important to "listen" to what your client is saying! The longest part of the procedure will be penciling in the pattern and making sure the pattern will meet each client’s specifications/personal needs.
10 Good Reasons for Permanent Makeup
- Convenience - you just need more time
- Allergies - to ordinary makeup, you may have sensitive skin
- Eye Issues - wear glasses or contact lenses or had Lasik surgery
- Arthritis - or painful hands
- Difficulty - applying makeup or you don't like the way it smears and disappears
- Aging - changes in brows, lips, eyes
- Active - outdoor lifestyles
- Natural - if you like a "no makeup" look
- Lost Hair - you've lost hair from alopecia, chemotherapy, accidents, burns or cosmetic surgery
- Replacement - of skin color where cosmetic tattooing can help
What exactly is Permanent Makeup?
Cosmetic Tattooing can be traced back to ancient cultures all over the world. Cosmetic Tattooing has been used to promote beauty, wealth and/or royalty. The manual method of Permanent Makeup is the oldest form of tattooing with the Rotary and Coil Machine methods following in the 1900s.
Will I Really Look Like Myself....Only Better?
Permanent cosmetic makeup helps replenish what time has taken away and gives back precious time you normally spend "putting on your face". You can save up to 100 hours in a single year that were formerly spent struggling
to draw eyebrows evenly or eyeliner half-way straight. That's two and one-half weeks of free time plus the money you'll save buying new and expensive cosmetics that rub off, smear, smudge and disappear during the day.
Permanent makeup is not intended to replace cosmetics completely. Because the color is placed "in" your skin and not "on" your skin a more natural, softer look results. When you're ready for a special occasion, you can apply as much additional makeup as you wish.
There are procedures that I will not do, like lip color and thick "winged" eyeliner. Permanent makeup is meant to enhance your looks, but it is best done naturally so the colors can be adjusted and it looks good for years to come.
Trendy is NOT good with permanent makeup. What you want now may NOT be what you want in 10 years, so keep it natural but strong enough to make a difference.
